The Veteran Feminists of America – a nonprofit that educates and empowers women in the “second wave” of the feminist movement – is holding a silent auction at Rollins College October 28–29 to benefit the organization and commemorate the 45th anniversary of the National Organization of Women (NOW). Auction items include a portrait of Betty Friedan by Patricia Hill Burnett, an autographed triptych print of Gloria Steinem, a collage of photos autographed by Representative Nancy Pelosi, as well as more than 15 other memorable pieces and a one-week vacation in Mazatlan, Mexico. The auction will be in addition to several events hosted by Rollins College and the Winter Park Institute to commemorate NOW’s anniversary. To learn more about the events, visit www.rollins.edu/wpi.
